The NazarKuttu Ritual
In many Indian homes, care has always lived in little rituals. A champi. A kaala dhaaga. A tikka before something important. Not everything meaningful needs explaining.
As our idea of family has grown, so have these instincts. Our pets are part of the rhythm of our homes - their wellbeing, their happiness, their moods matter to us. And naturally, the little ways in which we care for and protect our family begin to include them too.
At Nazarkuttu, nazar is bigger than buri nazar. it is anything we wish away from our pets: bad energy, poor health, uneasy days, anything that disturbs their little world.
That is the Nazarkuttu Ritual: carrying an instinct as old as the rituals we grew up with into the way we care for our pets today.
Everything we make is an expression of it - thoughtfully made, down to the smallest detail, to be worthy of the care behind it.
Our pets look out for us. We look out for them.
Sometimes, love likes a ritual.
The One Who Watches
Every ritual needs someone to carry it. Ours arrived from a mountain no map remembers.
Legend has it, Kirtimukha, the protector, who's watched over Indian doorways for centuries, looked down one day and noticed something missing. Homes had their own protectors now. Dogs. Cats. Birds. Cows. But who was protecting them?
The question sent him past the clouds, into the Himalayas. There, on a peak swallowed by snow, a dog stood waiting - radiant, unshaken by the cold, like he already knew why Kirtimukha had come.
He didn't need convincing. He passed on everything he had - Nazar Nash. Phool Power. Bijli Blast. Three powers, one purpose, and gave him a name and a job that would outlast them both.
Nazarkuttu. Not a mascot. Not a logo with legs. The one who carries this ritual forward - one paw, one pet, one home at a time.
Legend has it, he's still on watch. Probably from a spot on your couch
Handmade, Heartfelt.
Every piece here is a labour of love, not a production line. Made by a pet parent who obsesses over the same things you do.
The paracord is specially woven for pets. Each charm is hand-enamelled, buffed smooth, and hypoallergenic - safe against the skin it rests on. Every cord, knotted into a band by hand. Small, deliberate acts of care, at every step - because love, without a little logic behind it, is just sentiment. Ours comes with both.
Made in India, by design, because this story, and the rituals it borrows from, were always rooted here. A little bit of the nostalgia our grandmothers wove into us, now woven into something for the ones we protect.
And before it reaches you, every order is packed and personally signed off by our furriest cofounder, Poppins.
